Hi Hi, I'm Elizabet.
Currently working as a QA Analyst at Build a rocket boy
I'm an aspiring game designer with a passion for technology, games, and design. I specifically grew a love for content design when I worked on student team projects. I would create a concept and to be prepared I would design gameplay, rules, mechanics, draft a story and define the specifics of the game. While everyone else wanted to be a certain specific role like a technical or level designer, I never really knew where I stood as a developer...
Because of that, I found myself being assigned as just game designer in most projects, mainly because I know the concept best and I knew what needed to be done. During those projects the content I would work on included designing the gameplay, the mechanical rules for each feature, writing creative stories fitting for the games, menu content, missions/quests, puzzles, and their functionalities, and a couple more things. It sounded overwhelming until I actually started doing it all, then it was very pleasant. And this is when I realized I want to design content for games, I loved doing that in university and I will love doing that in the industry.
But before my interest in game development, I am a very passionate gamer. I was first introduced to video games on the old computers in elementary school where the boys were playing browser games. And then after I come back from school in the evening, I would watch my dad play Need for Speed. From then on I slowly picked up on MMORPGs, God strategy games, action and adventure, puzzlers, fighting games, and many more. Due to how diverse the game world is I couldn't just stick to one or two genres that I like.
Thanks to games I have developed related hobbies like memorizing dreams and in-game photography. I love practicing to remember my dreams because it not only improves my memory but there are valuable, original, and unique elements in them that inspire me to put them into game concepts. And are fun stories to tell! For the game photography, I have always loved capturing the moment, bringing life to characters by catching them pose, and just appreciating the worlds game developers make.
On the side I also enjoy casual activities like ice-skating, digital drawing, reading books and manga. I'm also interested in trying to write novels out of my dreams. I'm a very open-minded and excited person. I keep a positive attitude at all times and remain calm at rough times. I love creating new experiences, new stories...
Quality Assurance? - currently drafting a little description of my journey from the past 2 years now that my latest work project is out and about on the internet :)
